Microwave Chocolate Mug Cake

Take care of that enormous chocolate craving in a jiffy with this delicious microwave mug cake!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup self-rising flour
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon instant coffee granules, or to taste
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 drops vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons liquified coconut oil
  • Garnishes: vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, chocolate syrup, maraschino cherry

Preparation

Step 1

Add flour, sugar, cocoa, and instant coffee to a large glass mug; use a whisk to combine well. Add the water, vanilla, and liquified oil to the mug; whisk just until combined. Let batter rest for a couple of minutes.

Microwave on HIGH for 1 minute 20 seconds then test for doneness with a toothpick. If not done, continue to cook 10 seconds at a time until done as all microwaves cook differently. Cool to lukewarm.

Serve warm or cool with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and a cherry.
