Preparation
Step 1
In a bowl, mix the grated parmesan cheese & Italian dressing. I don't measure, so use as much as you like/think you need. I put a good amount of cheese in the dressing so it's nice & thick. Put each chicken breast slice in the dressing to coat. I then place them in a foil lined glass baking dish. I bake the chicken at about 400 degrees for about 15-20 mins.
Cook bacon how you prefer it. The less hassle the better for me, so I just end up using Hormel's microwave ready bacon. It's actually really good.
The bread I usually use I get from my local grocery store's bakery. I usually try different kinds, but my favorite so far is a loaf of roasted garlic artisan. I prefer the loaves you have to slice yourself because I like the slices fairly thick. After the chicken is done, I place the bread slices on a pan, and bake for a few minutes. I then flip them, put some butter on top, and bake a few minutes more so the butter melts a little.
Once that happens, I take the bread out of the oven, spread the melted butter, and then place the chicken slices (I use two) on one slice of bread, then put a slice of provolone over the chicken. On the other slice of bread I add another slice of provolone & add the bacon on top of that. Repeat for any other sandwiches. Then I bake in oven again for a few minutes so the provolone melts, and everything gets a little crispier.
And that's it! Put the slices of bread together, and enjoy!
(Also good with roasted red peppers!)
