Ingredients

  • 1 3-3.25 lb rump or bottom round roast
  • 2 cans Golden Mushroom soup
  • 2 cans of dry red wine( fill the soup cans with wine instead of water)
  • 2 pkgs lipton dry onion soup mix
  • 1 8 oz packaged sliced cremini or mini bella mushrooms
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350
2. In a covered 5 qt casserole dish that's oven proof, Mix onion soup mix, 2 cans of golden mushroom and two cans of dry red wine with a whisk. Add mushrooms and stir, Add Beef and cover
3. Bake for three hours or until tender
4. Serve with Mashed Potatoes


Note: I find the Calphalon casserole dish works best. If using a bigger roast 4-5 lbs, add a additonal can of golden mushroom soup, can of red wine and 1 pkg of lipton's onion soup mix
