Mushrooms, Garlic

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 pound button mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, diced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons brandy
  • 1 pinch salt, to taste
  • 1 pinch pepper, to taste

Preparation

Step 1

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Add the sliced mushrooms and saute until cooked through. Drain and discard any cooking liquid.

In a saucepan over medium-high heat, mix together the sour cream and heavy cream. Add the garlic, lemon juice, brandy, salt and pepper. Bring almost to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce the heat to medium and add the mushrooms. Simmer and cook until sauce thickens.

Serve hot.
