    cup sugar

  • ¼

    cup brown sugar

  • 5

    cups sliced, fresh peaches

  • 3

    tablespoons cornstarch

  • ¼

    teaspoon nutmeg

  • ¼

    teaspoon cinnamon

  • teaspoon salt

  • 1

    tablespoon lemon juice

  • Bisquick


Preheat oven to 450. Combine peaches with sugar and brown sugar, cover, let stand 1 hour. Save juice. Combine peach juice, cornstarch, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt in small sauce pan. Cook over medium heat until thick and clear. Combine juice mixture and peaches, add lemon juice. Use shortcake recipe from Bisquick box. Bake at 450 for 10 minutes, then at 350 for 30-35 minutes. (For pie, same except dot with butter before putting top crust on.)
