Ingredients
- 1 pound Ritz crackers, crushed
- 1 poun crackers, Royal Lunch, crushed
- 4 ounces walnuts, crushed
- 1 cup margarine, clarified
- 1 cup light cream
- 1 cup clam juice
- 18 clams, top shell removed
- 4 1/2 slices American cheese, cut in fourths
- 6 strips bacon, cut in thirds
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix the cracker crumbs, walnuts, margarine, cream and clam juice in a medium bowl. Place a spoonful of stuffing on top of each clam, enough to completely cover the clam. Top each clam with a square of American cheese and a bacon slice.
Bake each clam for approximately 10 minutes.
Serve hot.
