Apple Pie

Ingredients
- Pastry for two crust pie
- 2 cups flour
- teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 5 tablespoon water
- Pie
- 5 cups of sliced apples
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons spiced rum
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- Topping
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1/3 cup chopped pecans
- 2 tablespoon light cream
Preparation
Step 1
Pastry for two crust pie
Combine oil and water, pour over flour. Mix well. Roll between sheets of
waxed paper.
Pie
Pare and slice apples; place raisins in a bowl with rum. Combine, sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg. Place bottom crust in pie pan; sprinkle with 1/3 of dry ingredients. Add ½ of sliced apples. Sprinkle with 1/
3 of dry ingredients. Drain raisins and place over dry ingredients. Place pecans over raiions. Sprinkle remaining dry ingredients and cover with butter.
Bake at 400 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until brown and apples are tender.
Topping
Combine in small sauce pan, stirring constantly until of glaze consistency.
Spread over hot pie.
