Creamy Italian Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breast
  • halves (4-oz each)
  • 1 envelope italian salad dressing mix
  • 1/4 C water
  • 1 pkg (8-oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (10 3/4-oz) condensed cream of
  • chicken soup, undiluted
  • 1 can (4-oz) mushroom stems & pieces
  • drained
  • hot cooked pasta or rice

Preparation

Step 1

place chicken in 3-qt cooker
combine salad dressing mix & water
pour over chicken
cover & cook on low for 3 hrs

in sm. bowl, beat cream cheese & soup
until blended
stir in mushrooms
pour over chicken
cook 1 hr longer or until meat thermo.

serve w/ pasta or rice

garnish w/ fresh oregano leaves if
desired
