Ingredients
- 1/2 C shortening
- 3/4 C sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 2 small eggs
- 1 1/2 C Cake Flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2/3 C milk
Preparation
Step 1
Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla, add egg and beat thoroughly. Alternately add milk and flour which has been sifted with baking powder and salt. Bake in heart shaped pan at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
Double recipe for 2 layer cake
Frost with butter cream frosting.
Must use Cake Flour
