Ingredients
- 1 Cup of Sugar
- 2 Cups Light Cream or Half and Half
- 4 Large Eggs
- 2 Large Egg Yolks
- 1 Can Shreaded Coconut
- 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Caramelize the sugar in an overproof mold. In a medium saucepan heat the half and half and sugar almost to a boil and set aside. In a large bowl whisk the eggs and yolks together until blended. Gradually add teh cooled half and half, coconut and vanilla mix well. Pour the mixture into the oven proof mold. Place in the oven in a larger pan with luke warm water. Bake for 1 hour or until a cake tester inserted in the flan comes out clean
