Ingredients

  • 4.00 cup(s) (32 ounces) bottled tomato juice
  • 1.00 cup(s) aquavit or vodka
  • 3/4 cup(s) (from 4 oranges) fresh blood-orange or regular orange juice
  • 3/4 cup(s) (from 3 lemons) fresh lemon juice
  • 1.00 tablespoon(s) prepared horseradish
  • 1.00 teaspoon(s) hot sauce, such as Tabasco
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • Ice cubes
  • Blood orange wedges, for garnish
  • Tomato wedges, for garnish
  • Fennel or cucumber spears, for garnish

Preparation

Step 1

Whisk together tomato juice, aquavit, orange and lemon juices, horseradish, and hot sauce in a large pitcher. Season with salt and pepper. Pour into 6 ice-filled glasses, and garnish each with an orange wedge, a tomato wedge, and a fennel or cucumber spear.
