Ingredients
- 1 large red onion, peeled, halved and sliced
- 3 large jalapeno peppers, sliced
- 1 large clove garlic, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup seasoned rice wine vinegar (like Ka-me)
- 1 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
Step 1
In medium bowl, combine sliced onion, sliced jalapenos and sliced garlic. In small saucepan over high heat, bring rice wine vinegar, mustard seed and 1 tbsp. salt to a boil, stirring until salt dissolves. Pour vinegar mixture over onions and peppers, stirring to coat. Let onions sit at room temperature 1 hour before serving.
