Ingredients
- 1 cup double strength brewed green tea, cooled
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon gingerroot, grated
- Pepper to taste
- 4 firm fleshed whitefish
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 3 cups kimchee (found jarred in the Asian section of your grocery store)
Preparation
Step 1
In a large resealable plastic bag, combine tea, honey, vinegar, soy sauce, ginger and pepper. Set aside 1/2 cup marinade in a small bowl. Cover and refrigerate.
Add fish to marinade, seal and set in refrigerator overnight. Preheat outdoor grill, indoor grilling machine or oven broiler. Remove fish from marinade and discard marinade. Cook fish for about 3-5 minutes per side or until fish flakes easily with fork.
While fish is cooking, prepare dipping sauce. Place reserved marinade and green onions in saucepan and bring to a low boil over medium heat. Top fish with kimchee and serve with dipping sauce.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Serve fish with snow peas and brown rice.
