Jam Rocking Thumbprints

Ingredients

  • 2 cups plus 4 teaspoons flour (sifted)
  • 2/3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup butter (room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Jelly or jam–about 1/2 cup

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all ingredients slowly with mixer
Put in refrigerator for 20 minutes
With hands, roll dough into 1-inch balls, then press finger into center of
each cookie
Fill with jam
Place cookies on ungreased cookie sheet in preheated oven at 350 degrees
Bake for 10-15 minutes or until lightly brown.
