Ingredients
- 2 cups Mahatma® or Carolina® White Rice
- 2 tblsp olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tblsp butter
- 2 1/2 cups chicken or vegetable stock
- 1 tblsp tomato paste
- pinch of oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 clove garlic, peeled and minced
Preparation
Step 1
Set rice cooker to Sauté-Then-Simmer™. Allow to heat and add rice, olive oil, onion and garlic. Using a long-handled wooden spoon, stir ingredients frequently and allow to sauté for roughly 5 minutes, or until onion is soft.
Add remaining ingredients and close the lid. Once rice is finished, the rice cooker will automatically switch to Keep-Warm.
