Chocolate Truffles

Ingredients

  • 1/2 # Bittersweet chocolate (lindt)
  • 1/2 # semisweet chocolate (Ghiradell)
  • 1 c heavy cream
  • 2 Tbs. orange liqueur (Grand Marnier)
  • 1 Tbs. preparded strong coffee
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • confection sugar
  • Cocoa powder

Preparation

Step 1

Chop all chocolate finely. Place in heat proof bowl. Heat cream until justs boil. Turn off heat and let cream sit for 20 seconds. Pour cream thru sieve into chocolate. With a whisk slowly stir cream into chocolate until chocolate melts. Whisk orange liqueur, coffee and vanilla. Set at room temperature for 1 hour.

Scoop 2 tsp round balls on a baking sheet. Roll into confectionsugar and/or cocoa powder. Refridgerate or freeze. Serve at room temp.
