Granny's Teacakes

Okay not my Granny...but you get the idea.

Ingredients

• 2 1/4 cup sugar, divided
• 3 eggs, beaten
• 5 cups flour
• 2 tbsp. buttermilk
• 1 cup butter, softened
• 1 tsp. baking soda
• 1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Mix together 2 cups sugar and remaining ingredients. Roll out on a floured surface to 1/8 inch thick. Cut with favorite cookie cutter. Sprinkle lightly with reserved sugar. Transfer to a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes, until golden.
