Hard Butter Candy

Ingredients

  • 1.25 C granulated sugar
  • 1/4 C corn syrup
  • 2/3 C water
  • 6 T butter

Preparation

Step 1

Mix sugar, corn syrup, water and butter in large, heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Continue cooking, without stirring, to 270 degrees F on the candy thermometer. Remove from heat, working quickly, drop by half teaspoon fulls into candy molds or onto buttered cookie sheets. When set, wrap in wax paper to keep candy from sticking together.
