BB’s Best Ever Sticky Chicky

Sticky chicky is this luscious chicken recipe that has as many variations as there are chickens. Given my druthers, I would make this with bone-out, skin-on, chicken breasts but it is just as good with chicken parts (drumsticks lovers take heart). If you think ahead, marinate this overnight. But if not – it is still stupendous: sticky, sweet, garlicky, tangy……great. Serve with a green salad a fluffy, coriander and cilantro infused basmati rice

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 to 3 pounds, chicken pieces (drum sticks and breasts)
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon crushed ginger
  • 2 tablespoons crushed garlic (jarred crushed garlic is fine)
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • Salt, pepper to taste
  • Drops hot sauce, optional and to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Mix everything together in a bowl and toss chicken in it. Marinate overnight OR, bake right away.

Bake in a 350 F oven for 1 ½ hours or until chicken is nicely browned and tender. Baste often
