Chocolate Scotcheroos"

Ingredients

  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 6 cup crispy rice cereal
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • cooking spray

Preparation

Step 1

Measure corn syrup and sugar into a large saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves and the mixture begins to boil. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter. Mix well. Add crispy rice cereal. Stir until well coated. Press into 9x13x2" pan coated with cooking spray. Set aside.

Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips together in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. Spread evenly over cereal mixture. Let stand until firm. Cut into 1×2" bars to serve.
