Ingredients
- Sauce:
- 3 Tbs. softened butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 c. cranberries, cleaned
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream 3 Tbs. butter and 1 c. sugar. In separate bowl, combine water and 1/2 c. evaporated milk. Mix flour, salt, and baking soda. Add milk and flour mixtures alternately to butter mixture, beating well each time. Stir in cranberries.
Fill muffin cups 3/4 full. Bake around 20 minutes or until they test clean with a toothpick.
Sauce:
Combine the sauce ingredients in a saucepan. Heat to boiling, stirrin frequently. Remove from heat.
Serve muffins warm with sauce.
