Ingredients
- 3 large, ripe avocados
- Juice of one lime
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 cup minced red onion
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh cilantro
- 3/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped tomato's
- 2 jalapenos peppers seeded and diced
- 1 chopped green pepper

Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh out of their shells into a large glass bowl. Using a sharp knife, slice through the avocados in the bowl until they are coarsely chopped. Immediately add the lime juice, garlic, salt and cumin. Mash with a fork until it reaches the consistency you like. (I prefer to leave some chunks of avocado rather than make it completely smooth.)
Add the red onion, cilantro, red pepper flakes, tomato's, jalapenos, and green pepper if desired, then mix well. Taste and add more salt or lime juice if desired.
