Ingredients
- 1 (32-oz.) container chicken broth
- 1 (29-oz.) can Cento Crushed
- Tomatoes
- 1 (1.5-oz.) package spaghetti sauce mix
- 1 cup each: chopped celery and onion
- 8 strips center cut bacon, coarsely
- chopped and divided
- 3 cups coarsely chopped fresh spinach
- Freshly ground pepper to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Prep: 10 minutes Cook: 20 minutes
1. Place broth, tomatoes, spaghetti sauce mix, celery and onions in a large pot; cover and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
2. Cook bacon in a medium skillet until very crisp; drain well.
3. Remove soup from heat and stir in spinach and half the cooked bacon. Season to taste with pepper.
4. Ladle into bowls and top each with equal amounts of remaining bacon.
