Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 tsp. pure vanilla
- 1/2 cup flaorless oil(such as canola)
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Generously butter/grease a 8 1/4 x 4 /12 x 2 1/2 " loaf pan (6 cup capacity).
1. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt.
2. Beat together the eggs, sugar, sour cream and vanilla together until well blended. Gradually add in the dry ingredients and mix until smooth. Finally, pour in the oil and slowly and gently,but thoroughly fold in into the batter.
3. Pour the batter into the loaf pan and bake 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
4. Cool on a rack for 5 minutes, the unmold and cool to room temperature right-side up.
