Classic Meat Sauce

1 lb. sweet or hot Italian sausage, 3 cloves garlic, 1 medium onion, 2 (28-oz.) cans Raley?s Crushed Tomatoes, 1 tbsp. dried basil, sugar, salt, ground pepper, 3/4 lb. dry Raley?s Spaghetti, Grated Parmesan cheese
Ingredients
- 1 lb. sweet or hot Italian sausage
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 (28-oz.) cans Raley's Crushed Tomatoes in
- Tomato Puree
- 1 tbsp. dried basil
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Freshly ground pepper to taste

Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 1 hour, 15 minutes
Cook sausage in a large saucepan, breaking up with the back of a spoon, until
cooked through. Drain excess fat, then add garlic and onion to pot; cook and stir
for 5 minutes more. Add remaining ingredients except spaghetti and
Parmesan.Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for at least 1 hour.
While sauce is cooking, cook pasta according to package directions. Top with
sauce and Parmesan cheese.
