Orange Peel Pork Roast

Ingredients

  • 4-5 lb pork loin roast (or any roast cut)
  • Juice and zest of an orange
  • 1/4 red onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 t. oregano
  • 1 t. cinnamon
  • 1/8 t. nutmeg (I shave a little whole nutmeg over the roast)
  • 2 t. cumin
  • 1 t. rosemary
  • pinch of sea salt
  • pinch of pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Place pot roast in crock pot and top with all ingredients. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. This can also be placed in a roasting pan and cooked in the oven at 275 F for 4-5 hours or until internal temperature reaches 170 F. The slower it is cooked, the more tender it will be.
