Almond Butter Cookies

Almond butter cookies are easy to make, and perfectly chewy. Great for an after school snack, or part of your holiday cookie tray!

Ingredients
- 1 cup almond butter (available at Trader Joe or good grocery store)
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup each white and brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 2 1/4 C flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cup white or chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped almonds

Step 1
Cream almond butter, butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and flavorings.
Blend in flour, soda, baking powder and salt. Stir in chips and almonds.
Drop by rounded tablespoons on greased cookie sheet. Flatten with heel of hand or fork dipped in sugar.
Bake at 350°F 8 - 12 minutes until set but not brown.
