Ingredients
- 3/4 c. creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 c. butter flavor crisco (1/2 stick)
- 1 1/4 c. packed light brown sugar
- 3 tbs. milk
- 1 tbs. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 3/4 c. all purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda

Preparation
Step 1
1. Heat oven to 375. Place foil or cooling racks for cookies.
2. Combine peanut butter, shortening, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed until well blended. Add egg. Beat until blended.
3. Combine flour, salt, and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture at low speed. Mix until blended. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 in. apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Crisscross them w/ the tines of a fork.
4. Bake at 375 for 7-8 min. or until set and just beginning to brown. Remove cookies immediately to cool.
Makes 3 dozen cookies.
