Ingredients
- Filling:
- 3/4 cup butter,, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 3/4 cup cocoa
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 cup milk
- 3 Tbsp butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 Tbsp milk
- 5 gtts food coloring
- gtts of Mint flavoring if wanted
Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs and vanilla, beat well.
Sift together flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda amd salt.
Add to cream mixture alternating with the milk.
Shape the dough in to rools. wrapp in wax paper.chill overnight.
Slice and bake cookies on ungreased cookie sheet at 325 for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool.
to make cookies place frosting on flat side aof cookies and press another flat side to make a filled cookie
