Cherry Ice Cream

Ingredients

• 2 cups heavy cream
• 1 cup whole milk
• 3/4 cup white granulated sugar
• 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
• 1 whole vanilla bean pod
• 2 cups pitted cherries, quartered

Preparation

Step 1

Combine heavy cream, milk and sugar. Stir until sugar completely dissolves. Stir in vanilla extract. Split vanilla bean, scrape seeds from pod and add to mixture. Add cherries. Stir to mix.

Pour mixture into ice cream maker and follow manufacturer's directions.
