Ingredients
- 1 pkg Oreo cookies(about30)
- 1 (8-oz) pkg cream cheese, softented
- 2 c. chocolate chips
- 2 T. shorting
- Sprinkles
- non pareils
- cocoa powder
Preparation
Step 1
Crush oreos finely. Mix crushed cookies with cream cheese. Use a measuring tablespoon to scoop dough and roll into balls. Let balls set in refrigerator for at least 15 minutes. Meanwhile, melt chocolate chips and shorting in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave at 50 percent power for 30 seconds. Stir chocolate chips and continue to microwave at 10 second intervals, stirring between, until smooth. Dip balls in chocolate and set on wax paper lined tray. Roll chocolate covered balls in cocoa powder, sprinkles or nonpareils if desired. Refrigerate for 10 minutes or more.
