Mock Champagne Punch

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups grapefruit juice
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 1/2 quarts ginger ale
  • 1/2 cup grenadine

Preparation

Step 1

Combine sugar and water in a saucepan, boil slowly for 10 minutes, stirring only until sugar is dissolved; cool.

Mix sugar-water syrup, grapefruit juice, and orange juice; chill thoroughly.

Just before serving, add ginger ale and grenadine; stir to mix.
