Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb catfish filet
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp lemon pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1-1/2 tsp butter
  • 1/4 cup Italian dressing

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350deg. Lightly grease a medium baking dish.

In a shallow bowl, mix together cayenne pepper, lemon pepper, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Brush both sides of filet with butter. Rub filet with the dry mixture on both sides.

Heat a heavy (cast iron) skillet over medium-high heat until really hot. Add filet and fry about 2 minutes on each side until slightly blackened.

Arrange filets in the baking dish and coat with salad dressing. Bake 30 - 35 minutes until fish flakes easily with a fork.
