Ingredients
- 1 cup diced onion
- 4 strips bacon chopped
- 3 cups potatoes cut up
- 1 bottle clam juice
- 2 cans minced clams
- 2 cups half and half
- 1 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons of flour
- salt/pepper to taste
Preparation
Step 1
cook bacon remove from pot and cook onion in drippings until soft.
add potatoes and clam juice and cook until potatoes are tender about 15 minutes remove from heat and add clams with their juice, bacon, half and half, and milk mixed with the flour. return to med heat and simmer stirring all the while. I double this recipe.
Note: I will also add a little instant potato flakes if I think it is to thin. ( add this a little at a time) until you get the consistency that you like. Enjoy!
