Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese--softened
- 1 t peppermint extract
- 9 c confectioners' sugar
- 3/4 c milk chocolate chips
- 3/4 c semisweet chocolate chips
- 3 T shortening
Preparation
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and extract until smooth. Gradually add the confectioners' sugar, beating well. Shape into 1 inch balls and place on lined baking sheets. Flatten into patties. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour until chilled.
In a microwave, melt the chips and shortening until smooth. Cool slightly, dip patties in the melted chocolate;place on waxed/parchment until firm. Store in the refrigerator.
