Ingredients
- 3 Tbs. butter
- 1 lb. mushrooms, sliced
- 3 green onions, minced
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 3/4 tsp. oregano
- 1 3/4 tsp. basil
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. marjoram
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 4 eggs
- 3/4 c. milk or half-and-half
- 1 unbaked 9" pie shell
Preparation
Step 1
Melt the butter in a large skillet. Saute the mushrooms, onion, and garlic. Stir in the seasonings and cook until moisture has evaporated. Let cool 5-10 minutes. In a medium bowl, whisk eggs with the milk or cream until well combined. Stir in the mushroom mixture and pour into the pie crust.
Bake in a 350 degree oven on a lower rack until puffed and set (about 35-40 minutes).
