Dolmades with Dill

Greek Vine Leaves with Rice

Ingredients

  • 2 jars Vine Leaves
  • 3 cups White Rice
  • 1 Brown Onion
  • Spring Onion
  • Dill
  • Mint

Preparation

Step 1

*Soak vine leaves in cold water overnight.
*Chop dill, spring onion & mint.
*Saute brown onion.
*Add dill, spring onion and mint into pan and stir.
*Add 3 cups of rice and 3 cups water.
*Add 1 tablespoon salt & pepper.
*Scoop filling into vine leaves and roll
*Place a few vine leaves at the bottom of the deep saucepan to prevent burning.
*Stack all of dolmades into pan.
*Add water until all dolmades are covered
*Add a plate on top to prevent from overflowing.
*Boil until rice is cooked.
