Ingredients
- 2 lbs (5 large) apples, chopped into 1" pieces (leave peel on)
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- pinch of sea salt
- 1 T. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- juice from half lemon (1-2 T)
- 2 c. rolled oats
- 2 c. whole milk
- 2 eggs (optional)
- 1 c. water
- chopped walnuts and milk
Preparation
Step 1
Generously grease the slow cooker. Toss the apples, brown sugar, spices and lemon juice. Put in bottom of slower cooker. Top with the rolled oats. Whisk together milk, eggs and water and pour over top. Put on low for 6-9 hours. I cooked for 8 hours and it was perfect. Serve with some milk and chopped walnuts
