Ingredients

    cup milk

  • ¼

    cup sugar

  • 1

    tsp. salt

  • ¼

    cup butter

  • ½

    cup warm water

  • 2

    pkg. yeast

  • 2

    eggs, beaten

  • cups all purpose flour

Directions

Scald milk; stir in sugar, salt, butter. Cool to lukewarm. Pour warm water into a large warm bowl. Sprinkle in yeast; stir until dissolved. Add milk, eggs, 2 cups flour; beat until smooth. Stir in enough flour to make soft dough. Knead about 10 minutes. Put dough into a greased bowl and cover; let rise about 30 minutes. Divide dough into three equal pieces. Roll each piece into a 12 inch diameter circle. Brush with butter. Cut into 12-16 pieces (use pizza cutter). For crescent start at wide end and roll to point. Tuck point under. Place on greased baking sheet. Cover and let rise 30 minutes. Brush with butter. Bake at 400 for about 12 minutes. Brush with butter again.
