Ingredients
- Hot Buttered Rum Batter:
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup plus 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups icing sugar
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- Have ready at serving time:
- 2 tbsp rum
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- ground nutmeg
Preparation
Step 1
beat butter and brown sugar in medium bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in whipping cream and icing sugar until smooth. Stir in cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg. Use immediately or freeze for up to three months.
For each serving place rum and 2 tbsp hot buttered rum batter in bowl and mix with boiling water. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
*can freeze in ice cube trays and then put 2 cubes in ziplock bags to take out as needed.
