Banana Bread

I make it in a 9X13 pan and cook for 30-35 minutes. I skip the nuts because the kids don’t like them. Also, I use cinnamon in place of the nutmeg.

    cups flour

  • tsp. baking pwd.

  • ½

    tsp. baking soda

  • ¼

    tsp. cinnamon

  • tsp. nutmeg

  • ¼

    tsp. salt

  • cups mashed bananas

  • 1

    cup sugar

  • ½

    cup oil

  • ¼

    cup chopped nuts

  • Streusel nut Topping

  • ¼

    cup brown sugar

  • 3

    Tbsp. flour

  • cut in 2 Tbsp. butter

  • stir in ⅓ cup chopped walnuts


Preheat oven to 350. Grease bottom and half up sides of one 9X5 loaf pan. Combine dry ingredients and wet ones separately; add wet to the dry—stir just until moistened. (ok if lumpy) Put in pan and top with streusel. Bake 55-60 minutes.
