Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients

• 1/2 c shortening
• 1/2 c peanut butter
• 1/2 c granulated sugar
• 1/2 c brown sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 1/4 c flour
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 3/4 tsp baking soda
• 1/4 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

Directions

Cream shortening & peanut butter well. Add sugars and eggs and beat well. Blend all dry ingredients. Stir in slowly. Chill.
Heat oven to 375.
Roll into ball and place on ungreased baking sheet about 3 inches apart. Flatten with fork dipped in small amount of flour.
(Put flour in small cup and then discard flour.)
Bake for 10-12 minutes.
