Ingredients
- Dough
- 4 cups of flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 handful of mashed potatoes (no milk and no butter)
- Makes 6 dozen (It is best to let this rest for an hour before use)
- Potato Filling
- 5 lb. potatoes
- 1 lb. cheese (sharp cheddar - Cracker Barrel is my favorite)
- Makes 12 dozen (Remember to take out a handful for the dough).
- Cabbage Filling
- Medium head of cabbage; shredded
- Use less than 1 stick of butter when frying
Preparation
Step 1
Prepare the potato filling and set aside a handful for the dough.
Make the dough and let rest - prepare perogies and enjoy!
