Spicy Ginger Snaps

Ingredients
- 3/4 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 1 egg
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 3/4 t. salt
- 2 t. baking soda
- 1 t. cinnamon
- 1 t. cloves
- 1 t. ginger
- 1/2 c granulated sugar for rolling cookies

Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter. Gradually add sugar. Beat in molasses and eggs. Mix well. Sift all dry ingredient( I don't sift, works fine) and then blend into liquid mixture. Chill batter for at least 2 hours. Shape into 1/2 inch balls. or larger. Roll in sugar. Place 12 on a lightly greased cookie sheet and flatten with bottom of glass. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 min. Remove from oven and leave on sheet for 1 min. Then remove to cooling rack. Store airtight.
