Chicken With Tomato Alfredo Sauce
By Addie
"This is something I threw together with what I had on hand. It has a little kick but can be adjusted by the amount of crushed red pepper that is used. I hope you enjoy."
Ingredients
- 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 lb alfredo sauce
- 1 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
- 1 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1/2-1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Preparation
Step 1
Dump alfredo sauce, tomato sauce, garlic and red pepper in the crock pot. Add chicken breasts on top. Cook on high for about 4 hours OR till chicken is done.
When chicken is cooked through, shred with a fork and mix in with sauce. Spoon over top of cooked egg noodles and enjoy.

This was really tasty and VERY simple. I added some additional ingredients simply because I had them on hand and they needed using. I sliced 4 large mushrooms and added to the pot along with an uncooked Italian sausage cut into pieses and some carmelized onions. I cut back on the pepper flakes and added some Italian seasoning as my family isn't a fan of hot. This is an excellent fast and tasty meal.
Bravo! I was searching for crock pot meals that were 5 ingrediants or less and this one caught my eye. I love meals that I can put in the crock pot on busy nights and have ready when I get home from work. This fits the bill! Since mine cooked for 8 hours, I substituted garlic powder for the garlic clove as not to burn it. We will definitely make this again. Thanks for sharing!
Great recipe, everyone loved it, kids included! I need more simple recipes like this!!
Now HERE's a great recipe!!! It is so stupid simple (great for me and my family!). The chicken was so super tender, and the flavor was amazing! I sprinkled parmesan cheese on top and browned it under the broiler for a few minutes before serving. A keeper for sure! Thank you for sharing this amazing recipe!
DH and I were so suprised at how tasty this one dish meal was! I forgot to start it in the crockpot in the morning, so I browned the chicken in a skillet then sliced it thinly, but it back into the skillet and added the alfredo, tomato sauce, garlic and red pepper flakes until bubbling. I served it over egg noodles and it was great the first day, even tastier as leftovers! Will definitely make this again.
