Ingredients

  • 3

    cups fresh basil

  • 3

    large garlic cloves, chopped

  • ½

    cup olive oil

  • ¼

    cup toasted pine nuts (almonds or pistachios)

  • ½

    cup freshly grated Pecorino Italico cheese (or parmesan)

Directions

Put basil, garlic, olive oil and nuts in food processor and chop. Add grated cheese and combine gently. Taste to see if it needs a touch of salt. Freeze it in small containers.
