Ingredients

  • 2

    T oil

  • 2

    pork chops

  • ½

    head cabbage, quartered

  • 2

    onions, but into 8 wedges

  • 2

    tart apples, cored & chopped

  • 2

    c water

  • 2

    cloves garlic, crushed

  • 2

    t Worcestershire

  • t salt

  • ½

    t pepper

  • ½

    cup water 2 T flour

Directions

Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Cook the pork chops in hot oil until well-browned each side, about 10 min per side. Add cabbage, onion, apple, 2 c water, garlic, Worcestershire, salt & pepper to skillet; bring to boil, reduce heat to med, cover. Cook at a simmer until the pork chops are completely tender — 45 min-1 hour. Remove pork & veg mix from skillet, leaving as much of liquid in the skillet as poss. Whisk water & flour tog in a small bowl. Raise heat under skillet to med high. Pour flour mix into remaining liquid in skillet. Cook, stirring constantly, until the gravy thickens & begins to boil. Reduce heat to low & continue to simmer an add’t 5 min. Pour gravy over pork & veg mix. (I don’t do the gravy.)
