Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 lbs frozen meatballs, thawed
  • 2 tbls flour
  • 1-14 oz can beef broth
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbls diced chives

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oil in heavy large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until brown, about 8 minutes. Using tongs, transfer meatballs to a bowl. Add flour to skillet and cook 1 minute over low heat, scraping up browned bits from bottom of skillet. Stir in broth, milk, sour cream and chives, using a whisk.

Return meatballs to skillet. Simmer until liquid thickens enough to coat meatballs, about 5 minutes. Remove skillet from heat. Spoon sauce on top of meatballs and serve over rice or noodles.
