Honey Cashew Rice

Ingredients

  • 2 cups long grain rice, Uncooked
  • 3 1/2 cups cold water
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/2 cup cashew halves
  • 2 Tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup chopped scallions, optional

Preparation

Step 1

Directions:
Place water, rice and salt in medium saucepan; bring to boil; boil 4 minutes. Cover and cook over low heat 15 – 20 minutes until liquid is gone. Add cashews, honey and onions (if using). Serve hot.
Note: If honey is too thick, melt first.
