  • VEGETABLE OIL
  • KOSHER SALT
  • 2 CUPS OF MACARONI
  • 1 1/2 C OF MILK
  • 2 TBSP UNSALTED BUTTER
  • 2 TBSP ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
  • 4 OZ GRUYERE CHEESE
  • 3 OZ EXTRA SHARP CHEDDAR
  • 2 OZ BLUE CHEESE
  • 1/4 TSP OF FRESHLY GROUND PEPPER
  • PANKO BREAD CRUMBS

Preparation

Step 1

PREHEAT OVEN TO 400 DEGREES
COOK PASTA IN SALTED WATER AND VEG OIL
MEANWHILE HEAT THE MILK (DO NOT BOIL)
IN A MEDIUM SAUCE PAN, MELT BUTTER AND ADD FLOUR
COOK OVER LOW HEAT FOR 2 MINUTES STIRRING WITH A WHISK
WHILE WHISKING ADD THE HOT MILK AND COOK FOR A MINUTE OR 2 MORE, UNTIL THICKEND AND SMOOTH
OFF THE HEAT, ADD GRUYERE, CHEDDAR, BLUE CHEESE, 1 TSP OF SALT AND PEPPER
ADD THE COOKED MACARONI AND CRUMBLED BACON
PLACE PANKO BREAD CRUMBS ON TOP
BAKE FOR 35 TO 40 MINUTES, UNTIL SAUCE IS BUBBLY AND THE MACARONI IF BROWN ON TOP
